Well I am quite frankly
stunned at how fast this year is going... (according to my tutor, I am supposed
to submit my Masters dissertation in a month... this is totally not going to
happen).
Anyway, let's rewind back to April and I'll talk about some of the things I've
been loving! :)
The first thing that I have been loving recently is the Johnson's Face
Care Daily Essentials Hydrating 24 Hour Day Cream with SPF 15.
As far as I am aware this
is available in two types, normal skin and dry skin. I bought the one for
normal skin - I have very VERY sensitive skin, (like I've had bad eczema all my
life) and so I have to watch what I put on my face, but when I looked at the
back it says 'Dermatologically tested, suitable for sensitive skin' so I
thought I'd give it a go!
And what do you know! It is a GODSEND. It doesn't make your skin feel tight,
and I love that it has added SPF 15 in it as I think it's so important to
protect your skin from the sun, especially at this time of year when it's
starting to get really quite bright and sunny out :) Make up seems to go on
really nicely after applying this as well!
The next item I've been loving is the Real Techniques Blush Brush.
I love Real Techniques brushes - I also have the stippling brush which is great
for blending foundation :)
Now I haven't actually been using this as a blusher brush as it's quite a large
brush, so I've actually been using it to blend my foundation when I'm going for
a less heavy foundation base, and also to sweep powder over the top of my
foundation/blusher/bronzer etc to be less shiny! :)
It's such a soft brush
and I would highly recommend this one!
Also this last month I have finally opened the Made in Chelsea MIC:FIT DVD
which I (ahem) got for Christmas...
It's SO much better than I anticipated - the workouts are actually easy to
follow (even for me, who is not really into Pilates or anything like that - but
there are four 20 minute workouts and they are all slightly different:
Tabata Wake Up Call - a fat burning intense workout which burns calories
Toned in Time for St.
Tropez - A beach body workout where you use just your own body weight for
resistance
HIIT the Kings Road -
High Intensity Interval Training
Chelsea Morning Power
Stretch - A combination of Yoga and Pilates to help you de-stress and
refresh. Helps to tone your whole body.
The first time I did it I managed to do two of the workouts - I think it was
Toned in time for St.Tropez and the Tabata Wake Up Call. I was KNACKERED but I
persevered and I felt so good afterwards!
Another thing of mine which I have been using sooo much this month is my (ahem)
not childish at all Disney Store Olaf Cup! I know I'm in my early
twenties, but this was a must. My sister bought one and I saw it and instead of
pinching hers I decided I would invest in one as I hoped it would encourage me
to drink more water. It's definitely working. I mean come on it's SO cute. It
has liquid and glitter and bits of Olaf in it and it comes with the straw so
it's really convenient. I think it was £8 which I think is a fair price! Gotta
love Frozen!
Food wise is a bit of a cheaty one because this is not just an April favourite,
but it's the Maryland Cookies. These remind me of being little and
sneaking biscuits out of the biscuit tin! They're amazing with a nice cup of
tea too :) I'm not joking I could eat a packet of these a day...
Definitely haven't just had another cookie after writing that...
My last April favourite is the track Ed Sheeran - I see Fire
(Kygo Remix) which you can listen to here :) It completely
transforms the original song (which I also LOVE) but this is a really chilled
out vibe and reminds me of beaches and stuff... very summery!
I hope you enjoyed this post! Please leave me a comment below as I am just
starting blogging and would love to know what would be of interest!
